Joseph Edward Jourdain Jr. was called home to his Father in Heaven on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, in St. George, Utah.
He was born July 11, 1928 in Chico California to Helen Waters and Joseph Edward Jourdain. He grew up in Hurricane, Utah. He served in the Korean War from November 1950 - August 1952.
He married his sweetheart Elizabeth (Ann) Bunting on August 23, 1955 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived in Salt Lake City for 2 years while Dad was going to school to become a welder.
They then moved to Kanab, Utah where they lived for 4 years.They moved to Page, AZ and lived there for 41 years where they raised their 6 children. While living in Page, Dad worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as a Janitor inside of the Glen Canyon Dam.
In January of 2011 the couple made their final move to St. George, Utah. In July of 2015, Dad fell and broke his leg and had a tough recovery. He spent the last 3 years living out at The Veterans Resting Home, in Ivins, Utah. Dad loved Mom and his family more than anything in this world.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Bunting of St. George, UT, his children Stacy (Colette) Jourdain, Fredonia, AZ, Lynnel (Wayne) Snow, SLC, UT, Brian Marti, Dayton, OR, Kellie (Howard) Tandberg, Ironridge, WI, Korry (Katie) Jourdain, Parowan, UT, and Shawn (Kellie) Jourdain, St. George, UT. He has 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Joey Jourdain, and daughter Connie Joslen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, July 21, 2018. at the LDS church in Kanab, Utah, 604 S. 100 East. A viewing will be held from 11:00-12:45pm. Interment will be at the Kanab City Cemetery.
