Amber Lyn Maycock age 39 passed away suddenly on May 28, 2014. She was born to Kathryn Christensen and Kenneth Lawrence Bess on November 3, 1974 in Cedar City, Utah. Amber was raised in Parowan, Utah then moved to St. George, Utah in her teenage years.
Amber met the love of her life, Justin Duane Maycock and married him on November 2, 1996. She was the ultimate mother who loved her babies more than anything in the world. She had many talents that not many people knew about…she was always making little things for her children and making sure they never went without…
Amber is survived by her husband Justin; her six children Kenedi K., McKenna Nichole, Olivia Ashlin, Colton Duane, Marshall Phillip, and Jeremiah Justin; her mother Kathryn (Denver) Leigh; her father Ken Bess; and her siblings Stacie Rae (David) Hamill, Layne Kenneth (Kaylin) Bess, Kirk C (Patti) Bess, and Toni Alain (Andrew) Weaver.
She was proceeded in death by her brother Joseph Cody Bess (1980), grandparents Phillip Lee & Joyce (Dennett) Christensen and Willard James & Cleo (Alger) Bess; her other family Bill & Crystal Aldredge, DeNette, Jarvas, and Mikelene.
Amber and her sassy attitude will forever be truly missed. There are many friends and family there who will get to enjoy Amber and her robust personality til we all meet again.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 2, 2014 at 11:00am at the LDS Chapel located on 3815 W. Rachel Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. Visitation will be Sunday June 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30am at the same location. Interment will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery.
The family wishes to give a hardy thank you to all the people who have helped this family now and before…many wonderful teachers, neighbors, friends, and family. The Doctors and Staff at Dixie Regional Medical Center were amazing and we give thanks to them…Thank You All!!!
