Audrey Whiting

June 10, 1917 — January 5, 2017

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on January 5, 2017 surrounded by family.

Audrey was born June 10, 1917 to George and Arvelda (Dean) Nicholls in Woodruff, Utah. She was raised and educated in Woodruff and Randolph, Utah. She graduated in May 1935. She married Ray Whiting on January 3, 1936 in Randolph.

They lived in Evanston, Wyoming for many years before moving to Ogden and St. George, Utah. Ray preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed going to the temple. She was a primary teacher and in later years she was a relief society teacher for many years. She worked at the City Drug in Evanston for 20 years and was known and loved by many people there.

She is survived by her two sons, Arlo R. (Kay) and Robert N. Whiting, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Her entire life was focused on her family and home. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed camping and fishing. She has cherished the many friends and acquaintances she has made throughout the years.

Our hearts have been touched by her humor and her love and willingness to always help others. She was extremely proud of her family. Mom and Dad’s marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Utah Temple. We love her and will miss her so very much.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Washington LDS 4th Ward Chapel located at 82 N. Main Street Washington, Utah. Interment will be held at the Washington City Cemetery.
