Bonnie Lee Bain Averett

Bonnie Lee Bain Averett was called home to her loving Heavenly Father on December 17, 2024. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on January 30, 1941, Bonnie grew up with a love for life and a caring heart. On December 16, 1960, she married her eternal companion, Jerry Averett, and together they shared 64 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bonnie served in various callings throughout her life, always dedicated to helping and uplifting others. She often expressed that she felt guided by Heavenly Father in every step of her journey, and her faith was a cornerstone of her life.

Bonnie loved raising her kids, guiding them with patience, love, and a sense of humor. Despite the chaos that sometimes came with a busy household, she cherished every moment spent nurturing, guiding, and supporting her family. Her love and dedication as a mother were reflected in the lives of her children, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and devotion.

Bonnie found her greatest joy in teaching preschool, where she nurtured and inspired countless young minds. Her warmth, patience, and love for children made her an extraordinary teacher and a cherished influence in the lives of many families.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; her children, Tammy, Linda (Dave), Teri (Scott), Tracy, Lisa, and Lori; her sister, Kay; her brother, Bruce; her 17 grandchildren; and her 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeff, and her grandson, Nathan.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Bloomington Hills Fort Pierce Chapel, located at 750 East Fort Pierce Drive, St. George, Utah 84790. Interment will be at the Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 S. Dixie Dr. St. George, UT 84770 following the services.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by her family and all who were blessed to know her.
