Brent Poulsen

Brent Poulsen 57, was born July 2, l958 in Rigby, Idaho.  He returned to his Father in Heaven July 24, 2015. He died peacefully at his home in St. George, Utah. He is the son of R. Kay and Coleen Poulsen St. George, Utah.

Brent grew up in Rigby, Idaho and Providence, Utah. He married Billie Alvey: Lewiston, Utah. They were later divorced. His children Jeramiah, Logan; Joshua, Salt Lake City; Jessica, St. George were a blessing to him. Twin granddaughters, Adriana and Maiya stole his heart. He loved living near them.

Brent enjoyed all of Gods creations. The great outdoors was his favorite place to be, enjoying the quiet atmosphere fishing a stream, river or lake was a bit of heaven to him. His love of horses began as a little boy. He had a way with them and enjoyed breaking and training cutting horses. He acquired many skills in the construction business; roofing, operating dump trucks, cement pumps, in the Salt Lake City and St. George areas. At the side of his brothers he learned framing, finish work and building cabinets. Brent loved hard work and the good feeling he benefited from it. (quote from his autobiography). He was a good cook, loved to garden and put a creative touch on both.

Brent lived a “SIMPLE LIFE”. He was blessed with a very intuitive personality. He seemed to recognize what others were feeling. He could comfort and care for those that were fragile, in need or lonely. The words “I LOVE YOU” were often expressed. During the last few years of his life Brent’s health declined. He came to live with his parents in St. George. He died suddenly and joined his brothers, Richard and John, his niece Nichole and all of those dear family members that paved the way for him.

Brent would want to thank his special friends, Dr. Mark, his pharmacist and his bishop. Last but not least this neighbors and friends at Country Meadows South.

He is survived by his son’s Jeremy and Josh; daughter, Jessica (Mike) Aviles; grandchildren Elijah, Ashton, Silas, Kyla, Adriana, Mayia. His parents R. Kay and Coleen Poulsen: brother’s David(JoAnn) Poulsen, Michael (Lauri) Poulsen, sister, Jeanette (Jeff) John and sister in–law Debra Poulsen. Also his nephews, nieces, and their children.

May our dad rest in peace in a happier place. Your spirit is free dad. Go fishing, go hunting, ride those horses!
