Carson Winget

September 23, 1972 — January 10, 2016

Carson Keel Winget left us unexpectedly in a tragic car accident on January 10, 2016 at the age of 43.

Carson was a beloved husband, father, son and brother.  He is survived by his wife Jami and loving daughter Cadance, currently living in St George, Utah.  His parents are Brent and Donna Winget of Murray Utah.  His siblings are Cheyene from Midvale, Cody (Aprill) from St. George, Candice Leiter from Murray and Coralett (Jay) Segrist from South Dakota.  Carson was loved by his many nieces and nephews.

Carson was born on September 23, 1972 in Murray, Utah.  He graduated from Murray High School in 1990 where he excelled in athletics and went on to play college baseball at Snow College and the University of Utah.  He married the love of his life Jami in 1998.  Next week is their 18-year anniversary. Carson was a successful businessman and entrepreneur that enjoyed the creative challenge. His most prized accomplishment was their temple sealing of his family on Valentine’s Day in 2014 and the honor to baptize his daughter.  His callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gave him opportunities to be a great example.  He never passed up an opportunity to serve.

Fun-loving, compassionate and big-hearted describe our Carson. Some of the best memories were when he would hit you with his infamous one-liners to make you laugh, lift your spirits, and light up your world.  Carson’s smile and laughter was more then contagious, it was infectious.  He was always the center of excitement.

Webster’s Dictionary has not enough words to describe Carson’s love for his daughter and wife.  His family was the driving force to improve his life and show kindness towards others.  For those who knew Carson, they knew he was fiercely loyal and had a captivating personality.

The viewing will be held Friday, January 15th from 6:00-7:00 pm, at the Boulder Ridge Stake Center at 1762 So. River Road, St George, Utah. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, January 16, at 11:00 am with a viewing from 10:00am – 10:45 am at the same location.  Interment will follow at the Tonaquint Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carson’s life.

There was nothing more important to Carson than his family.
