Parents: Charles Wesley Barrett and Nancy Jane Essert.
Spouse: Lynda Barrett. Married in Watsonville California October 14, 1983.
Chuck or better known as ‘Grandpa Bub’ was an incredibly loving and devoted husband to Lynda, whom he cherished with all his heart, constantly surprising her with gifts and dinner out. Together they loved to travel and see new places, where Chuck could strike up a conversation with any unsuspecting stranger and become best friends.
He was an incredible Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather who dedicated so much to helping all of us enjoy life, see new places and have New experiences. He was always there willing to help with anything that was needed no matter what, no questions asked and a “good” dad joke. Bad jokes were his specialty that he was very proud of and sure to share. Fishing and spending time at the family cabin which he built with his son Chad and father-in-law Bill was a priority that we all got to enjoy and make precious memories over many years that will last all of us a lifetime.
His generosity to everyone including complete strangers had a remarkable and lasting impact in this life.
Preceded in death by his sister Linda Daniels
