Charlotte Keiss

Charlotte Ann Keiss of St. George went to her heavenly home on August 14, 2020.

Born in Budapest, Hungary on October 3, 1932. After World War II, she emigrated to this this country in1950 and become a proud United States citizen in 1955.

Charlotte and Frank moved to St. George in the early 1990s and made it their home. She never stopped marveling at its beauty and sense of community.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Charlotte is known by all for her immense heart and kindness, providing care to those in need. Often referred to as the “angel of the park,” Charlotte would ensure that elderly residents had hot meals and company.  Everyone was treated like family and she knack for making all feel special. Her favorite moments were when children visited her home. They were often greeted with Smarties that she purchased in bulk for just that occasion.

Charlotte is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Keiss Jr. of St. George and her loving parents, John and Magdalena Menyhard of New Jersey.

She is survived by her brother Nicholas Menyhard of Hendersonville, NC, her niece Susan Thornburg of Tacoma, WA, her nephew Nicholas Menyhard II and his wife Debra of Bonney Lake, WA and her nephew John Menyhard of Nashua, N.H as well as her great nieces and nephews: Emma Levy, Joshua Levy, Madison Menyhard and Nicholas Menyhard III.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 at 10:00am at the Green Valley LDS chapel located at 511 S. Valley View Drive, St. George, Utah 84770.  The funeral service will be lived-streamed, click on the link below.  A visitation will be held prior to services at the same location from 9:00-9:45am. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery.
