Charlotte Seger

Charlotte Regina Margaret (Logue) Seger, 95, left us and went to Our Lord and Savior in heaven on September 3, 2017. She was born to Ernest and Clara (Johnson) Logue on March 28, 1922 in Livermore, IA. She graduated from Livermore High School in 1940 and from the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, IA. Charlotte married her high school sweetheart, Stan Seger on April 29, 1942 when Stan returned from basic training. Charlotte accompanied him for additional training in North Carolina in the Army Air Corp before he was deployed to Alaska during WWII.

She returned to Livermore where she started her banking career at Livermore State Bank. When Stan returned from the service they owned and operated the Seger Locker Plant in Livermore. In 1959, they moved to Las Vegas where Charlotte continued her career in banking with Valley Bank of Nevada (acquired by Bank of America). She was a trailblazer for women in banking by becoming the first woman to be promoted to branch manager and vice president. After 22 years at the bank, she retired in Las Vegas for several years until she moved to St George in 2006.

Charlotte and Stan enjoyed many years of adventure traveling in their RV. She was very active in the Las Vegas Republican Women’s Club and was an avid walker. Charlotte loved gardening with flowering plants throughout in her home and yard. She enticed the birds to visit with her bird feeders and enjoyed the nightly visit from the quails. She was passionate for knowledge and current events reading as many as three newspapers a day. She embraced technology and sent emails and posts to Facebook every day.

Charlotte is survived by her brother Don Logue and wife Doris (Dorry) from Humboldt, IA and sister Joann (Stiltz) Dull and husband Norm from Shawnee, OK; many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors who cared for and loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan; her brother Keith (Bub) Logue and sisters Lois (Tudy) Armstrong and Beverly (Babe) Cottington.

Services will be Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Southland Bible Church at 195 E Arrowweed Dr, Washington, Utah 84780. Charlotte will be interred at Davis Memorial Park in Las Vegas where Stan is also interred.
