Christopher Edward Duram passed away October 26, 2022 peacefully at his home in Ivins UT. He was born in Powell, WY on June 6 1936 to Joseph Martin Duram and Mary Andrea Duran.
He was very active in all sports throughout his life.
He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1954, at age 17, and was very proud to be a Marine! After 4 years he transferred into the USAir Force and served for 19 years, where for 7 years he worked in the SR71 program. After his 23 years in the military he had a 17 year career with civil service for a total of 40 years for the government.
He met and married Kaye Morrison on September 11,1956 and had four daughters. Diana Lynn Duram, Katharine Kay Duram, Laura Ann Duram And Crystal Jo Duram. They later divorced. He married Johnnie Mae Coltrane on August 2, 1970. They had one daughter Lisa Lanell Duram. She brought two daughters to the marriage.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and 16 siblings. He also was preceded in death by his grandsons Christopher Lee Hughes and Christopher Joseph Books.
He is survived by his six daughters Diana Lynn (Alex) Boney, Katharine Kay(Joseph) Books, Laura Marsh of Ogden, UT, Crystal Jo Allred of Ivins, UT. Lisa Lanell (Bill) Ellingford of Evanston, WY, and Julie Ann Denny (Hartlley) of, Silverdale, WA. 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 at 12:00pm at Red Cliffs 8th ward chapel, 625 E Center St Ivins, UT. There will be a viewing from11:00- 11:45 am at the same location. There will also be a lunch at the church after the service. He will later be cremated.
