Clair Turner age 87 died peacefully on May 24, 2011. He was born in Sunnyside, UT on Feb 25, 1924 and was
the son of Taylor and Ella Larsen Turner. He had four brothers and two sisters.
Clair graduated with a Masters Degree from BYU and taught school for 30 years in Colo. Calif. and UT.
He served in the military at General McArthur’s headquarters in Manila during WWII.
He is survived by his wife Norma, his son Klye Turner (Linda), and his daughter Heidi Harris (Eric).
Also, Norma’s children Brent Hogan (Desi), Brenda Butterfield (Dave), Doug Hogan (Rick), and Kevin
and Julie Hogan. They have 8 grandsons, 7 granddaughters, 9 great grandsons, and 3 great granddaughters. His brother Paul Turner and his sister Winnifred Hebert.
He was proceeded in death by his son Tyson Ned Turner, His parents, his brothers Dean, Ned and Grant Turner and his sister Ella Ruth Bergera.
Our thanks to the staff at Kolob Care Center and to all the wonderful staff at Rocky Mountain Hospice who cared for him and about him. We can’t thank you enough.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Morningside 7th Ward Chapel, 879 S. River Road in St. George. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 at the church prior to services.
Interment will be at Tonaquint Cemetery.
