Washington, UT - Colleen Payzant, 83, passed away on January 8, 2014, at her home in Washington, Utah, due to complications from melanoma of the spine. Colleen was born December 6, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married J. Clair Payzant on March 19, 1950; they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Colleen was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved life and generously gave herself in service to her family, friends, community, and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She resided in Murray, Utah, until 1998 when she and Clair moved to Washington, Utah.
Colleen is survived by her husband Clair; her five children, Michelle Davies of Sandy, Utah, Colette Zaugg of Campinas, Brazil, Shawn Payzant of Santa Clara, Utah, Jaron Payzant of Draper, Utah, and Josette Malesich of Draper, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Wilford Wiseman, and sisters LaVonne Watkins and Sharon Boggs.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 12:00pm at the Green Springs Ward LDS Chapel located at 807 W. Capilla Drive (the north church house off of Fairway Drive), Washington, Utah. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Saturday at 11:00 am at the same location.
Interment will be at the Washington City Cemetery located at 300 North 300 East, Washington, Utah.
