Connie Jane Hoyle Clayburn, 81, died on June 13, 2013 in St. George, UT from complications related to Parkinson's disease. She was born September 14, 1931 to James Eugene Hoyle and Nettie Brown Hoyle in Salt Lake City, UT. She married Lt. Colonel Grant B. Clayburn (USAF Ret.) in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 9, 1952.

During her childhood, she lived in Toole, Utah, Idaho Falls, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah, where she graduated from South High School. Connie went on to further her education with degrees in Accounting from Stevens Henager College as well as Yuba College (California). Connie used her education in various capacities, including CEO of Granite Furniture Employee's Credit Union.

She was active in the LDS Church and served as Relief Society President four times. In addition, she and her husband served two missions at Martin's Cove Handcart Visitors Center in Wyoming.

Her husband's career with the USAF allowed her to enjoy living in different parts of the world. Following Grant's retirement from the USAF, Connie and her family eventually settled in Bountiful, Utah. Fourteen years later they moved to St. George, UT where she enjoyed playing golf and continued to travel the world. Her favorite place to travel was by cruise ship to Alaska (three times). She liked to play games and if you were lucky she would let you win. She was a lover of music and enjoyed playing the organ and singing.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack Eugene Hoyle and Blaine Edward Hoyle, daughter Jayna Clayburn Farr (Steven).

She is survived by her husband, son, Grant Brian Clayburn (Kaulene) and daughter Cynthia Sue Clayburn as well as 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Sunday, June 16 th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Morningside Stake Center located at 879 S. River Road, St. George, UT 84790. Funeral services will be at the same location on Monday, June 17 th , with a viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and funeral services to follow. Interment will be at the Midway City Cemetery, Midway, Utah on Tuesday, June 18 th at 11:00 a.m.
