Surrounded by his loving mother, sister, and niece, Darin Frank Limehouse passed away from cancer on June 30, 2023 in St. George, Utah.
Born on May 3, 1965, in Portland, Oregon, Darin was the beloved son of Frank and Lanice Dawson. Their family was completed by younger brother Wade, and older sister Paige. After his parent's divorce and the death of his grandfather Warren Orton; Darin, his mom, and brother and sister moved in with his adored grandmother, Vonda Orton. This was an especially happy time for Darin.
In 1974, Lanice met and married John Limehouse, a veterinarian, who later adopted her sons. Darin relished the time spent out of doors with the cows, chickens, and horses on the family's 35-acre farm. Always industrious, Darin worked after school and summer jobs. As a hobby, he built his first structure, a five-room "fort" that was much enjoyed by friends and cousins. After graduating from Corvallis High School, Darin continued to pursue his career as a professional finish carpenter. Following Lanice and John in their relocation to Los Angeles, Darin and Wade were extras in many movies and television programs. For Darin, this included specialty work as he had inherited the "beautiful hands" that the men in his mom's family were known for. Despite the glamour of LA, Darin longed for Oregon. He returned there to continue his career and spend time with his many friends. While in Oregon, Darin met Karen with whom he shared lots of love and many adventures. An avid golfer, Darin was also a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. When Darin relocated to St. George, Utah, he joined his mother and other family members there.
Darin is survived by his mother Lanice, brother Wade, sister Paige, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his birth father Frank, adopted father John, grandparents, and cousin Brent Snyder.
