Daryl passed away quietly of natural causes March 19 surrounded by his family. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was completely devoted to his family. Some of our fondest memories surround him camping, fishing, hunting, playing night badminton and Frisbee golf. He graduated from delta High School in 1944. He served in the Armed Forces and was a part of the occupation force in Japan in 1946. He was active in the LDS Church, serving in many callings faithfully and served LDS mission to Northern California and Oregon. He built and ran a TV and appliance store and later become the Santa Clara Postmaster from where he retired in 1988. He met and married Helen Joyce Wood in 1948 in the LDS Manti Temple. They spent 70 years together here on earth. They raised six children; Daryl, Phil, Scott, Brenda (Slack), Marjorie and Kory. They have 29 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Ward Chapel. A family and friends gathering will be at 10:00 just before the funeral services. They family would like to especially thank Joni, Troy, Doug and those that were so caring and compassionate in their care of Dad.
