St. George, UT - David Deming, 77, passed away June 20th, 2014 surrounded by loving family in his home. He was born 1/3/1937 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Herschel Parr Deming and Margaret Adair Thompson. Raised in Marion County, Indiana, the family later moved to Denver, Colorado. David attended Colorado State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and worked many years as a school teacher. He also served as a signalman in the United States Navy from 1954-1962.

David had many passions in his life, the first of which was his late wife, Linda Diana Deming, to whom he was married from April 16 th , 1977 until her passing in February of 2009. He enjoyed singing & playing his 12 string guitar, target practice with his sons, camping with family, and visiting Maui, HI. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and worked as a temple worker in the Denver Temple. He married Carol Scott in November, 2009 and together they moved to St. George, Utah to escape the harsh Colorado winters. He adored his 7 children and 14 grandchildren, cars, trains, guns and nearly everything associated with them.

He is survived by his wife: Carol Scott Deming; Sibling: Robert and (Beverly) Deming; Children: Dean and (Tiffany) Deming; Hallie and (Chuck) Springer: Connor and (Sierra), Cameron and (Amber), Corbin, Dawn, Ashley, Caylee; Troy and (Chris) Deming: Talbert, Ethan, Foster, Oliver; Justin and (Brenda) Deming; Stacie and (Wade) Larson: Austin and Allan; Seth and (Linda) Deming: Jaden and Sierra; and Drew Deming.

A viewing will be held Tuesday June 24, 2014 from 10:00am to Noon at the Riverside Branch LDS Chapel located at 2434 E. Riverside Drive, St. George, UT. Interment will be Thursday June 26, 2014 in Arvada Colorado.
