David Turner

David Lawrence Turner, age 71, of Drift, Ky passed away Monday, May 29th 2017, at his home in St. George, surrounded by family.
He was born in Martin, Ky on June 21, 1945, a son of the late Ernest and Mae Burns Turner. He married Peggy Leah Jones Turner in Fleming Co. on January 21st, 1965.
David was raised in Drift, Ky where he attended McDowell High School and earned All-State honors in Basketball. He accepted a basketball scholarship to Morehead State University where he earned a Masters Degree in Education and began a long and fulfilling career as a Coach, Educator, and Administrator. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Peggy, 4 daughters Amy (Todd) Gray of Georgetown, Ky, Leah (Todd) Hockenbury of St George, Ut, Robyn (Paul) McAllister of Lehi, Ut and Ann (Jessie) Isaacs of Drift, Ky. He has one son David Ernest Turner of St George, Ut. He has 17 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday June 1st, at Pine View Stake Center, located at 595 North 2450 East St George. A Viewing will be from 9:30am-10:45am prior to services. Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery, St George Utah.
