Dennis Wesley Christensen, 83, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah. He was born January 20, 1935 to Rosalieola Burraston and Nephi Wesley Christensen in Dividend, Utah.
He attended Payson High School and then went to the University of Utah Medical School where he graduated at the top of his class and joined the United States Air Force. He then attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and specialized in Aerospace Medicine.
He served in the Vietnam War for a year then served as Commander of the Hospital at Rhine Main Air Force Base, Germany. Returning to the States, he received a degree in Psychiatry. After 20 years, he retired as a “Full-Bird” Colonel then went into private practice as a Psychiatrist. He enjoyed his time serving our country. He loved his family, the beach, ocean, and his Siamese cats.
Dennis “Chris” is survived by his six children, Summer (Bob) Pugh, Sherri (Eric) Scott, Todd (Annette) Christensen, Valerie Christensen, Mark (Elaine) Christensen, and Cory Christensen.
A viewing and memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019

Memorial: 4:00pm at the Southern Utah Veterans Home located at 160 N. 200 E., Ivins, Utah 84738.
