Donald W. Clement, age 88, our wonderful Husband, Father, and Grandfather, passed away June 25, 2012, at his home in St. George, Utah. He was born February 27, 1924, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Clarence M and Florence Weaver Clement. On October 31, 1945 he marred Louise Frandsen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She has been his devoted, faithful and stalwart companion for 66 years. Don grew up in Idaho where he loved the outdoors. He included his family in all his activities: hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, camping and snowmobiling. He loved farming, sheep ranching, but made his profession in farm equipment mechanics and later as a Fireman for the AEC Site in Idaho Falls, Idaho. After retiring from the site he and his wife served an LDS mission to Las Vegas, NV. They also enjoyed traveling – Mexico, Hawaii, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, Cape Cod, Florida, Nauvoo, Canada, and Disneyland. His favorite spot on earth was at his cabin by Palisades Lake in Idaho. They moved to St. George where he spent years enjoying sunshine, red rocks and blue skies. He is survived by his wife, Louise, and his four children; Morgan (Eva) Clement, Ginger (Meik) Rapp, Janice (Robert) Gardner, Trish (Kevin) Homer; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren; and 12 brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings The family is so appreciative of all those who have supported Don during his last months of life. The hospice family has been invaluable when serving and befriending him. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Snow Canyon First Ward, 1184 N. Dixie Downs Road, St. George, Utah. Visitation will be in the Relief Society Room that morning at 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara City Cemetery.
