Donald Williams

Donald Hugh Williams, age 77, passed away November 16, 2011. He was born in Boise City, OK on July 18, 1934 to Hugh Ernest Williams and Juanita Lydia House; where he grew up working in the broomcorn fields with his family in the Pan Handle of Oklahoma. Upon graduating from Boise City High School in 1954 he married his high school sweetheart Bonita Chinn on June 18, 1954 and moved to Oklahoma City; their only daughter, Dowanna, was born there. He lived there for over 50 years, working in retail. In 1975 he married AnnaLou Graham and together they raised her children Barbara and Randall.

Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. One of his great loves was touring the country on his Honda Gold Wing with the Oklahoma Dressers Motorcycle Club. While serving as president of the club they were able to see 47 of the 48 states. The last 5 years of his life were very meaningful as he lived with his daughter, Dowanna and her husband Larin Cox, and their 5 daughters, whom were the love of his life. All of his life he loved the Lord and in his later years he joined The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, which gave him great joy.

Don leaves behind his only daughter and 5 granddaughters, Dowanna (Larin) Cox, Crystal (Justin) Parkinson, Camille (Erik) Thompson, Kristen, Celestia, and Kayla Cox; 5 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 2 step children; 5 step grandchildren; 7 great step grandchildren; Siblings: Lois Williams, Shirley (Leland) Armstrong, Alvin (Saundra) Williams, Wyvonne Fly and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Cleatis Marie and Calvin Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 3pm in the Hurricane 17 ^th Ward Chapel at 452 N. 2600 W. Hurricane, Utah. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to funeral services. A second funeral will be held in Amarillo, TX; Interment will follow in Boise City, OK.
