Ella Elzey Hirschi

September 9, 2015 — September 8, 2019

Santa Clara, Utah

Our sweet precious angel Ella Grace Elzey Hirschi was born September 9, 2015 in North Carolina and returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father the evening of September 8, 2019. The night before her fourth birthday.

She was born into a very loving family who waited many years for her, Jereme and Devan Olshefski. Her family was over the moon when she arrived. Due to complications of delivery she suffered severe brain damage. She required 24 hour care and we were so blessed to find the perfect family that would love her as much as we do and be able to meet all of her needs. The Olshefski family loved her unlike they have ever loved anything or anyone else. It’s a very special love. We have been blessed to always remain in contact with our sweet Ella.

The Elzey Hirschi family were so blessed to love and care for her four wonderful years. Her smile and laughter would bring joy to anyone and light up a room. She loved going to pre-school and was so happy to return this year wearing beautiful dresses. She enjoyed music and loved others talking to her. You could be talking to someone else and she would be laughing and trying to talk to you because she wanted to join in. We would always call you our Ella Bella.

.. Ella your humble, gentle nature was an example to us all. You never complained about the trials you faced, but patiently waited on the Lord and graciously accepted us, however imperfect, as we become God’s hands in your service

Ella you never demanded anything, all you wanted was the love of your family, a smile, a hug and being in your favorite comfortable places. Your presence has been a true blessing to many. You have made a difference to your family and others. Your resilience and determination to live a full life has taught us all.

Ella you left behind so many that love and adore you. Jereme & Devan and your two sisters who loved you first, then two families were tied together for ever when Richard and Lisa Elzey were able to bring you home, also many brothers and sisters.

I’m sure your brothers Zachariah, Levi and Max were so happy to welcome you home to Heaven and celebrate your birthday with them and Grandpa waiting to share a bowl of birthday ice cream.

As Christ promised we received so much more than we gave. Your influence will continue on in the lives of your families forever.

We join Jeffrey Holland in looking forward to the day “when loved ones whom we knew to have disabilities in mortality will stand before us glorified and grand, breathtakingly perfect in body and mind. What a thrilling moment that will be! I do not know whether we will be happier for ourselves that we have witnessed such a miracle or happier for them that they are fully perfect and finally “free at last”. Until that hour when Christ’s consummate gift is evident to us all, may we live by faith, hold fast to hope, and show  “compassion  to one another”

God bless you our sweet Ella.
