Ellen Beacham

Ellen Gifford Beacham, age 95, passed away on June 22, 2012.
She was born to Fanny (Crawford) and John Jones Gifford, August 26, 1916, in Springdale, Utah. She spent many hours climbing and exploring Zions National Park which was near to where she lived in Springdale, Utah. She always had someone to spend time with because there were eleven of the twelve brothers and sisters that lived. She had many cousins to spend time with also. She was only able to attend up to the eight grade for which she always felt bad that she was not able to get more schooling. Ellen married Donald Joseph Beacham and they had four children. They lived in Santa Clara, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she especially enjoyed her callings when she got to teach the young children. Ellen loved to grow things to eat and pretty flowers to look at. She loved to raise things so that she could give some away to others. She loved yellow flowers and planted and grew as many as she could find to plant. She was a very good cook. She read a lot. She was a maintenance worker at RMC Foods for a number of years. She taught a 4-H class and she never forgot the girls. She was preceded in death by her husband, all of her brothers and sisters, her parents, and a great-granddaughter. She is survived by four children, Donald Beacham Jr., Jay Beacham, Katie Beacham, and Stan (Laura Merrill) Beacham. The family wishes to THANK all of the sisters in the Santa Clara 5 ^th Ward for all of the many visits and kind acts of service that they gave to her. The family also wishes to thank IHC and Rocky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for all of the help that they were to her. The funeral will be Thursday June 28, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Santa Clara Chapel, 3040 W. Santa Clara Dr., Santa Clara, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services starting at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that the money be donated to help pay the cost of expenses incurred. Donations can be made at Zions Bank.
