Erma (Clove) Bauer,
Departed this world from Dixie Regional Hospital in the day of our Lord April 18, 2011, due to the compounded affects of having lived 87 yrs.
Born January 8, 1924 to Peter Clove and Rosy Ann Sawyer in Hurricane, UT, Erma was reared and educated in the Hurricane valley. Marriage took her too many places around the world but none touch her like southern California. Graced with beauty, charm and wit, she would be mistaken for a Hollywood socialite. She left the the charm of California to accept less glamorous position as a mother. Thanks to her for bringing into the world Sheila Heyborne (Martineau) St. George, Sandra Underwood in Heaven, and Lisa Barlow of Las Vegas all without whom the numerous grand, great grand and great, great, great grand kids would not exist.
She was preceded in death by all her bothers and sister, fathers, Sandra, Kalvin and obviously her parents.
She is missed by all, especially her enthusiasm for life. She loved to sing, dance and write short poems and stories. Always glad to see you and would never let you leave hungry.
Her quick wit and love for verbal sparring was keen until her passing.
A member of the Lord's church she found peace in her weekly travel to the Temple to help with the Lord's work.
A celebration of her life will be April 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the old brick LDS Chapel,274 S 100 E. in Hurricane. A Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service.
Interment immediately following at the Hurricane Cemetery.
