Faye Durham

January 6, 1980 — June 2, 2015

St. George, UT --

On June 2, 2015 at 10:15 pm Faye Dawn (Taylor) Durham gently took her last breath, after fighting deteriorating health for nearly three years.  Born January 6, 1980 to H. Calvin and Virginia E. Taylor in Layton, Utah; her younger years were spent in Clearfield, Utah.

At the age of nine her family left the briny shores of the Great Salt Lake for the vivid colors of Utah's Dixie.  Under the desert sun she grew, met and learned life's lessons.  Strong willed and sweet of spirit Faye drew many in with her smile and energy.  Attending primary schools in both Washington and St. George Utah and secondary school at both Dixie and Snow Canyon her friendships blurred the lines of school rivalries.  Choosing to train in massage therapy she attended UCMT where her natural healing touch was fine-tuned and she gained a passion for easing the suffering of others.  Her love and care was most notable in the lives or her children.

Four summers ago she married JR Durham, her partner through her final days.

She is survived by husband JR, parents and three children: Micheal Llewellyn of St. George, Alexice Webster or South Jordan, and Kobi Stevens of North Las Vegas, sisters Mary Muir and Heather Bounds, and brother Johnathan Taylor and their families. She was preceded by her brothers David Taylor and Micheal Taylor, paternal grandfather, and maternal grandparents.

A Memorial service will be held at the Vernon Worthen Park Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 6-7:30pm.  Her burial will take place July 6, 2015 in the Syracuse, Utah Cemetery.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1250 South 1000 West, Syracuse, Utah  84075.
