Garth Sawyers

Garth William Sawyers age 93, passed away May 26, 2015. Born August 20, 1921 in Joseph, Sevier Co., Utah to Irene Miller Sawyers and William M. Sawyers.
Garth was a Pearl Harbor survivor in World War II. He was active in the American Legion all of his life. He had a great love for the United States and the military. He enjoyed his participation in the Corvette Clubs of Utah. Garth retired from the Tooele Army Depot.
He is survived by his daughter Loni Shriber (Paul) and son Tom G. Sawyers. He has seven siblings Maxine (deceased), Barbara (deceased), Mary, Betty, Don, Linda, and Jack; and 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00am at Camp Williams Chapel 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00am prior to services at the same location. Interment will be at the Camp Williams Veteran Cemetery.
