Gary Drake

Gary Kenneth Drake, age 80, passed away on December 8, 2016 in St. George, Utah after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born December 25, 1935 to John Kenneth Drake and Mary Ann Perkins in Ogden, Utah. He was the youngest of three children and grew up in Ogden, Utah. He married Lei Lonnie Burke in Ogden, Utah on December 14, 1957. Gary and Lei Lonnie were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple on October 7, 1978.
Gary worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a brakeman and conductor and was a local chairman for the railroad workers union. Gary owned and operated his own cement company. After moving to St. George, Utah, he was a realtor and worked at S&S Homes for the past 18 years.
Gary is survived by his wife Lei Lonnie, sons Bret Drake of Mississippi and Troy Drake of St. George , Utah, daughter Julie Drake of Roy, Utah, five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at Tonaquint Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.mcmillanmortuary.com.
