Born 3/19/1919 in Billings Montana to George Millard Heald Sr and Mary Elmira Painter.
He grew up on the Lower Two Dot Ranch, and as a young boy rode a horse to school. No kidding!!! His mother passed away when he was 3 years old. So, many mothered and guided him; his grandmother, Evelyn Painter, his Aunt Margeurite Heald, and Mrs. George Walker to name a few. His secondary schooling was in Cody where he room and boarded with Aunt Iva and Uncle Doc Bouleware. Not interested in ranching, but rather construction, he opted for a different lifestyle.
George met his sweetheart, Betty Hall, in Yellowstone Park and they married 1/17/1942. Two children were born of that union, Robert (deceased) and Marilyn. The 70's took them to Alaska where they lived until Betty's declining health made it necessary for a move to St. George, Utah, closer to Marilyn in 2011. He left many dear friends behind, especially Helen (his forever dance partner) and Jerry Burkes.
George is survived by his daughter Marilyn and husband Thomas Bramble Sr., grandchildren Michael Heald (Angela), Allison Heald Johnson (Brian), Thomas Bramble Jr. (Emi), and Wendy Painter Bramble, and four great-grandchildren.
Not much for the desert and the heat, Dad missed his beloved Alaska until the very end. He passed away May 28, 2013
