Geraldine Stark Seaman

Geraldine "Jerry" Stark Seaman, age 91, passed away on June 8, 2023 at the St. George Regional Hospital of congestive heart failure. She was born June 11, 1931 in Salt Lake City to Douglass and Erma Genevieve Stark. She married Jack Arman Crumpley in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1952, but they later divorced. In 1990, Jerry married Raymond Arden Seaman in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Jerry was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from South High School. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She lived in West Valley for 40 years before moving to Kaysville, Utah when she remarried. Jerry loved people and people loved Jerry. She was so genuine and caring to all the people around her. Jerry was an excellent seamstress, making all different types of clothing. She crocheted beautiful doilies and knit many afghans. Jerry loved to garden, especially growing flowers. Besides being a wonderful homemaker, and raising four children, she always worked full-time outside her home. Jerry worked for many years at Unysis, becoming their head of postal services. Later, as their human resources director, she traveled throughout the US training other human resources directors.

Jerry is survived by one sister, Bonnie (Paul) Wakefield of Orem, Utah, and three daughters: Shelley (Kay) Blackwell of St. George, Utah; Patti (Bob) Pryor of Boise, Idaho; and Heidi Richards of Mesa, Arizona. Her son, David Douglass, proceeded her in death. Jerry had 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, June 24, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Washington East Stake, 1500 East Ridge View Drive, Washington, Utah. Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 AM.
