We are saddened today by the loss of our dear sweet mother.
Gertrude Janice Lusk age 83 was born March 1st 1932 in Long Beach, CA to Percival Oliver Wadsworth and Alice Eileen Blackburn. She graduate from Jordon High school in 1949.
She met the love of her life Wallace Paul Lusk and they were married on Feb 28 1953.
They raised 3 children Jeffery Paul, Pamela Jo, and Dan Lee.
Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace and her parents. She is survived by a son Jeffery Paul Lusk (Donna), daughter Pamela Jo Williams (Charles), son Dan Lee Lusk, grand-children, Lance Williams (Nikki), Brandon Williams, Stephanie Lusk, Karen Lusk, great grandchildren Tucker Williams and Dylan Williams.
Trudy loved music and had a beautiful voice she also played the piano and organ. In the last few years it sadden her and us that she wasn’t able to sing like she used to and the arthritis in her hands stopped her from piano. But she never let that stop her from enjoying her life or playing with her great grandsons. Trudy always looked forward to Thursdays as this was her day to go work at the Temple. She loved doing the Lords work, she loved serving others and working with her dear friends at the Temple. Trudy had a passion for history and what she learned, she would retain. We were always asking her questions about different era’s in history and she could tell you the dates and who the kings or rulers were at the time. It was amazing to sit and listen to her. She had a very strong passion for this country and its people. She was always trying to keep God in the fore front. She wanted everyone to remember that without God we will fail as a nation and she loved this country so much that it broke her heart to see that becoming a reality. She is finally in our dads loving arms for him to hold her for the rest of eternity. She had been working on ancestry even before it was popular. She loved looking up family members and connecting their lives together. She especially loved seeing the pictures people added. It is amazing how we look like them, she would laugh and say, "they may not be that flattering but they’re family." She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and she always saw the good and better of people. If anyone did upset her she was quick to forgive them, just as the Lord said, “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespassed against us.” She lived that example.
We would like to thank all those who came to sit with mom during her hospice time. The room was always filled with your love and we know she felt it.
