Gertrud (Trudy) Gilman
January 21, 1940 — November 12, 2015
Gertrud (Trudy) Gilman, age 75, passed away on November 12, 2015 in St. George, Utah. She was born January 21, 1940 in Alsbach, Germany to Heinrich and Anna Becker. She married Glen October 23, 1958 in Darmstadt, Germany.
She received her education in Germany including an apprenticeship as a hair dresser and continued to work when we first arrived in the Edmonds area of Washington. She lived in Edmonds for 13 years and then she and Glen returned to Germany for 15 years. This gave them time to travel much of Europe. We returned to Everett, Washington where we lived until Glen retired from Cascade Bank. At that time we moved to St. George where she greatly enjoyed decorating her home and working in her yard among her flowers, she had a green thumb.
She is survived by Glen and one sister Heide Flath and a brother in law Udo Dietz living in Rechlin, Germany. There are too many nieces, nephews and cousins to name here.
She is now at peace and has no more pain. Her smiling face will be greatly missed. There will be no service at her request, please remember her happy times.
