Glen Leon Pearce, 85, our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend returned to his Heavenly Father, June 20, 2012. Born June 29, 1926, in Bingham Canyon, Utah. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Lucille Godfrey Pearce; children, Karren (Kevron) Ekins, Scott (Sammie), Tracy (Craig) McCune, Stuart, Eric (Harmony), 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, a sister, Marian (Burt) Maxwell, a large extended family and many close friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Thurgood Pearce, and 2 brothers. Glen was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and fulfilled many callings with devotion, including Aaronic Priesthood leader, Bishop's counselor, High Counselor, Bishop. He and his dear wife Lucille served a mission in the St. George visitor's center. He also served his country faithfully in the Navy near the end of World War II. Glen learned as a young man to make and then upholster custom furniture. He "retired" to St. George in 1989, but continued to work full-time from home until less than one year ago. Even after retirement he was sought after for his talent. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Green Valley 2 nd Ward Chapel, 511 S. Valley View Dr., St. George, Utah. A viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. will precede the services and interment will follow at the Tonaquint Cemetery, with Military honors.
