Harold Turner

February 1, 1937 — May 6, 2020

Ivins

Harold Arthur Turner passed away May 6, 2020 peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family.  He is survived by his five beautiful children, Mickee (Bill), Layne (Laurie), Leif (Pam), Chris (Bob) and Julien (Matt). He has sixteen grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  He married the love of his life Judy Maylene Clements on November 9, 1956.  Judy passed on January 21, 2018, he was heartbroken and never really recovered and we celebrate them finally being reunited as Harold would say “now I’m roughly perfect”.

Harold served 26 years with the Salt Lake City Fire Department retiring as a Battalion Chief.  After retiring he donated a lot of his time building log furniture to raise money for the Children’s burn camp.  He loved the firefighter’s association and holds the current record as most consecutive years in attendance to their annual convention.  His witty sense of humor and love of people will be greatly missed and most of all his Harold hugs!

Harold loved to travel with Judy; some of their favorite trips were Italy, New Zealand, Australia, Greece, and many trips to the beach in Mexico. In his younger years he liked to go camping and boating at Lake Powell with his family and friends or spending time at their beautiful cabin in the Uintahs. He spent the majority of his time building log furniture.  We will greatly miss him playing his guitar and serenading us with his campfire songs.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 27, 2020 at Harold and Judy’s Home located at 375 North 200 West in Ivins, Utah from 4:59p and 24 secs to 8:59p and 37 secs.
