Hayden Hansen Hunt

May 16, 2012 — February 8, 2020

Enterprise, Utah

Hayden Tyler Hansen Hunt, our sweet bug, age seven, earned his wings on Saturday, February 8, 2020, in Enterprise, Utah after a two year courageous battle with brain cancer.  Hayden was born on May 16, 2012, in Ogden, Utah to Kristen Ann Breitenbuecher Petko.

Hayden was in second grade at Enterprise, Utah.  Hayden was remarkable in his determination to regain all he lost in surgery, chemo, and radiation.  He never complained about his treatments and forever worked to regain strength, mobility, and learning. Hayden relearned to ride a bike and drove his battle cruiser all over his neighborhood  to visit his many friends.

Hayden loved his mother, family and friends.  He enjoyed people and never met a stranger.  He was a loving, kind soul who tried to befriend those that needed a friend. Hayden also loved music, his mother’s voice, and was always singing.  We will forever hear his sweet voice singing “God Bless the U.S.A.”, “Old Town Road”, and “Ghostbusters”.

Hayden enjoyed the outdoors and was always asking his mother to drive “his” blue truck down dirt roads.  He also enjoyed his mother reading to him, especially the Harry Potter series during his last radiation treatments.

Hayden moved to Enterprise, Utah a year ago to be close to his Hunt and Truman family.  He loved the community and made many friends in a short time.

In November 2019, Hayden enjoyed the trip of a lifetime thanks to Make A Wish Utah and Give Kids the World Village in Florida.  He had so much fun at the Village,  Disney World, and Universal Studios.  He really enjoyed meeting all of the characters, especially Marbles the Elf.  His biggest wish was that he could share that experience with his family.  His cousins, Truman and Lorelei, will forever remember those special moments.  We as a family will forever cherish the memories of a summer spent when Hayden was just able to enjoy childhood without cancer treatments.  We will never forget that sparkle and joy in his eyes as he ran around with his cousins and friends without a care in the world the last summer of this life.

Hayden is survived by his mother, Kristen Ann Breitenbuecher Petko and bonus father Walter Petko, Grandmother Cheryl Truman Hunt, Uncle Robert Dallas Hunt, Aunt Jadie Lee Hunt, Uncle Anthony Lodge, Great Grandmother Ellen Tennison, Jay Hansen and family, and many great uncles and aunts and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Kent Hunt, and uncle, Logan LeGrand Hunt.

A viewing will be held in the Enterprise Stake Center on Friday, February 14, 2020, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm.  Interment will be in the Enterprise City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Walter Petko and Great Aunt Theresa Williams for all of their love and time they spent with Hayden, Enterprise Elementary Principal Luke Rowley for all he did for Hayden, Enterprise Third Ward Bishopric, Relief Society Presidency and Members for their support and acts of kindness, the Enterprise Community and Fund Raiser Organizers for the fund raiser held in Hayden’s behalf, Primary Children’s Hospital, Zion’s Way Hospice, and Nurses Colleen Stevens and Allie Utley.
