Heidi Dalton Scholzen On December 9, 2014 Heidi Dalton Scholzen (39) left this earthly life and returned home to be with her Heavenly Father. Heidi was born March 13, 1975 in Kanab, Utah to Bonnie and Bruce Dalton of Panguitch, Utah. She was one of 6 children, therefore she learned early in life to hold her own.
She was a vivacious cheerleader for the Panguitch Bobcats, graduating from Panguitch High School in 1993. After high school she attended cosmetology school in St George, Utah. While attending school she met the love of her life, Jeffrey Nick Scholzen of Hurricane, Utah. Jeff and Heidi were married in the St George LDS Temple for all eternity on April 15, 1995. This union was full of love for the next 19 years. Their children are McKyla Danielle (18), Miranda Hope (15), McKenzie Jane (13), and Grant Jeffrey (9).
Heidi lived a very exuberant life. Many of her clients would stop by to get their hair cut to just to talk with her. Her cute small town accent would help her with any conversation whether it was about deer hunting or anything else, while her beauty and whit could keep the attention of a Major League Baseball executive, as her smile was infectious. She loved to travel with Jeff on his assignments as a professional baseball scout and showed her endless support for her family and others. Although her paying job was "cutting hair and coloring hair", her volunteer profession was that of a taxi cab driver for her four children, their friends and anyone else in need. Heidi's taxi driving let her to numerous games as she supported her daughters in cheerleading, coached her daughter on teams and watched her son Grant's baseball tournaments.
Heidi would immerse herself in everything that she got involved in. She enjoyed running and going to the gym, but was never sorry she ate the whole bowl of chips and salsa. Since Heidi was the "life of the party", her house was always full of people. Although the only thing she ever wanted to do was snuggle up with Jeff watching TV, she believed in being a care giver to all, and the party was always at her house. She had a sincere love and interest in others, and they in turn loved her. It was very touching to read the many heartwarming posts written about her. She truly has made an impact with her love and helping others. This faithful devotion to others carried over in her spiritual life.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived its teachings. No one who came in contact with Heidi can ever forget how warm and good she made them feel. She was robbed of old age in mortality, but lived the 39 years she was given to its fullest. Heidi has always taught her children to live worthy to return home to our Heavenly Father, and now she will be waiting there for them.
Heidi is survived by her husband Jeffrey Nick Scholzen, her children McKyla Danielle, Miranda Hope, McKenzie Jane and Grant Jeffrey. She is also survived by her parents Bruce and Bonnie Dalton, her brothers and sisters: Kimberly (Scott) Campbell, Blake (Alicia) Dalton, Gaylen (Becky) Dalton, Brett (Kesia) Dalton and Emily (Kalvin) Staheli; Jeff's family: Nick and Erroleen Scholzen, Darin (Sharyn) Scholzen, Jeremy (Laurie) Scholzen, Heidi (Nick) Wright, Jimmy (Brooke) Scholzen.
