On December 13, 2016 Hollis Glenn Pritchett of Washington, Utah, previously of Flagstaff Arizona died at the age of 88.
Born on September 25, 1928 in Forney, Texas, Kaufman County. His parents were Henry Houston and Iola Blanch Pritchett. He met his eternal love Elizabeth (Betty) Pritchett in 1947. They were married for 70 years.
His career included working at Standard Oil for ten years as a welding inspector before finding his dream job at the El Paso Fire Department. He served his community for thirty years before retiring as a captain. His hobbies included playing in a country band. Hollis was an avid fiddle and steel guitar player and could be seen at many events around the community. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing as his outdoor hobbies. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He served the LDS Church in any capacity that he was asked since the day he was baptized.
He is preceded in death by his son Glen. He is survived by his wife Betty, Glen’s wife Mary and their children Aaron, Kyle, Kelley, Ashley, Stephanie, Farah and Layla. His daughter Karen Lynn Magee, son in law Michael W. Magee and their children Colton, Lindsay, Meagan, and Jason. Grandchildren Taylor, Logan, Availey, Dexter and Liam. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Washington Fields 6th ward Chapel, 1835 S. Washington Fields Rd. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Flagstaff, Arizona at the Citizens Cemetery.
