Hy passed away December 21, 2011 in Saint George, UT at the Dixie Regional Medical Center due to complications of diabetes. His family was with him until the end. Hy was born April 1, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Karl and Theresa Anna Baumgaertner Weiss.
Hy, a loyal employee of Chevron Oil for 42 years, retired as a marketing manager in 1988.
He married his childhood sweetheart Mary Fern Reynolds on March 24, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT and they were together for 62 years. They reared five beautiful children Jeffrey, Guy, Lisa and Collin. He was preceded in death by his son Reynolds.
His lively personality had a positive influence on all he encountered and many will miss him.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at 1pm at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Drive St. George, Utah.
