James “Dutch” Enyart, 47, died Saturday, June 28 in St. George, Utah from injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident.

Born March 3, 1967 in Bismarck, North Dakota to David and Jane Enyart, Dutch was the second of five siblings. He spent his childhood on his family’s ranch near the town of Washburn, ND and exhibited a love for adventure from an early age.

A modern-day Superman, Dutch had many skills and accomplishments throughout his life. He obtained his ASC certification from Wyoming Technical Institute in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He served in the United States Marine Corps from December 1987 to December 1993 where he completed a tour of the Western Pacific and deployed to Bahrain to participate in Operation Desert Storm. Dutch also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and a Master of Art in English Literature from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. He had a Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Management.

Dutch had passion for many things, including his church, finance, and riding his bike; but he valued his children above all. He married Heather Harris Marler on June 18, 2011, thereafter known as “Cheesecake Day.”

He is survived by his wife, Heather; and six children, Tayler, Tonya, Jessica, John, Trina, and Wren; two stepchildren, Myia and Dakota; one grandchild, Elena; his mother, Jane; four siblings; and many friends and loved ones. He is predeceased by his father, David.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 2, 2104 at 11:00am at the Green Valley 7th Ward LDS Chapel located at 1282 W. 500 S. Circle (Indian Hills), St. George, Utah. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:45am prior to services at the same location.
