James (Jim) Pearce

James August Pearce went peacefully home to his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family January 14, 2019 in St. George, Utah. Jim was born April 5, 1933 in Michigan City, Indiana to Henry and Elsie (Eggabrecht) Pearce.

He is survived by his wife Shyrl Pearce, his children, Garry Pearce, Terry (Kathy) Pearce, Kimberly Dowd and Stacy McMillin, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren  and three great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Michael James Pearce, his first wife Vera Pearce and son-in-law Arron Dowd.

Jim and Shyrl have resided in St. George, Utah for the past 23 years. He loved working with his hands, gardening, going down south to Mesquite and Las Vegas for some R&R, spending time with family and his beloved dog Scooby.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 11:00 am at the St. George Catholic Church located at 259 W. 200 N. St. George, Utah.
