Jaxson Emett

Jaxson Travis Emett, son of Jeremy and Kaylee Emett, passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms on 4-18-18. During his short 3 days he left a lifetime worth of memories with the huge number of people anxiously awaiting his arrival.

When Jaxson was born without a heartbeat the skilled NICU team immediately began resuscitation efforts. After 15 intense minutes Jaxson’s heart began to beat. This amazing accomplishment was Jaxson’s first of many gifts to his parents.

During the next two days Jaxson valiantly fought for every minute he spent with his parents and family. Within his first day on earth, when all hope was seemingly lost, Jaxson was placed in his mother’s arms for a final good-bye. But he was not ready to leave just yet. His little body responded to her touch and his heart showed strength. Again, the NICU team took every effort to prolong his precious life.

As the day went on Jaxson gave a second special gift to his parents by opening his eyes when Jeremy lovingly spoke to him. This precious moment was yet another glimpse of Jaxson’s incredible strength. The tears of heartache were mixed with tears of joy as his love for his parents was clearly displayed.

Despite his strong spirit and courageousness, his little body didn’t possess the strength to carry on. He was recalled from his mother’s arms into the presence of his Heavenly Father where he was met by his Grandfather Travis Hughes of whom Jaxson was named.

Jaxson accomplished a lifetime of impact in a few short days on all who were fortunate enough to meet him. We would like to especially acknowledge the dedicated Nurses, Doctors and support staff in the NICU as they tirelessly worked for hours on end, continually going above and beyond in the care for our sweet Jaxson.

Jaxson is survived by his parents Jeremy and Kaylee Emett, Grandparents Scott and Jill Emett, Shelby Hughes, and all his aunts, uncles and cousins. His example of strength will go on forever.

Graveside Services will be held at the Bunkerville Cemetery at 2:00 pm Nevada time.
