Born on March 10, 1922 in Salt Lake City to William Russell and Mignon Romney, she was challenged with her health at a very early age with celiac disease. She passed away on November 6, 2018 in St. George, Utah.
Jean married twice in her life. First near the end of WWII to Frank Kay Shaw.
They had two boys, Keith and Craig. ‘Kay’ and Jean divorced shortly afterwards. Afterwards Jean married a long time friend of the family, Fred Harrison. They also had two sons named Fred Jr. and William.
Because Fred was in the USAF the family lived in many places ranging from Kansas to Japan. The family moved in the mid 60’s to Cache Valley and built a home in North Logan. However, the cold and snow convinced them to move to Saint George and remained here until their passing.
Jean will be laid to rest next to Fred. The graveside gathering is on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 1pm the St. George City Cemetery. Jean expressed her love and gratitude to all of her friends and family through a lifetime of volunteer work at both the Hospital and LDS temple.
