On September 20, 2022 Heaven gained the beautiful soul of Jean Elizabeth Inglish, 92, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born on November 23,1929 in Vancouver, BC, Canada, to Mr. & Mrs. William P. Dey. Jean leaves behind her love of 48 years, Carl Inglish. She also leaves behind her two sisters Fran Dalgleish and Chris Christian.
Jean was the 5th of 7 children, and grew up in Richmond, BC. She later moved to Savona, BC, Canada where she met and married Gordon Comeau in October 1950. In 1956, after she had given birth to 3 children, the family moved to southern California. After the loss of both her husband and father in 1960, she continued to raise her family in West Covina, California.
Jean worked hard to put herself through beauty school and eventually owned and operated Duvall Beauty Salon in La Puente, CA. Jean devoted herself to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she met Carl Inglish and married in 1974.
Jean retired in 1980 and Carl in 1982. They moved to Mesa, AZ in 1983, where she enjoyed traveling, pottery, researching genealogy, cooking and gardening. They later moved to St. George, Utah, where they enjoyed new adventures and friendships.
Jean’s strength, grace and unconditional love was felt by all who knew her.
She appreciated life’s simple joys and natural beauty. Her enduring love will guide us and the memory of her beautiful smile will always warm our hearts.
