Jean Lyman

Jean Dalley was born in Kanab, Utah on March 2, 1941.  She was a mirror image twin.  They looked so much alike that people often could not tell them apart until they became adults.

Jean, from her birth was loving, friendly and helpful, and was therefore loved by all who became acquainted with her.  She graduated from Chafee High School in Ontario, California.  She attended Brigham Young University.  She married and had three children.   That marriage dissolved and on December 18, 1971 she married Allen Brent Lyman.  Two more children were born to Jean and Brent. All the children became melded into one loving family.  The first three children legally changed their name to Lyman. Jean became a trained paralegal and worked in that profession for twenty two years.  She studied art under various national masters and was an accomplished artist in several different disciplines.

After retiring, she and her husband, Brent, served two temple missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Spain.  They served a total of ten years as ordinance workers in various temples. Jean and Brent moved to Saint George, Utah in 2018.

Jean passed away March 11, 2022 in St. George, Utah.  She is survived by her husband, Brent and five children Christine, Craig Thomas, Chad Norman, Tyler Brent and Todd Richard.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00am with a viewing from 10:00- 10:40 am in the LDS Chapel at 550 East 700 South in Saint George, Utah.  Interment will be in the Tonaquint Cemetery.
