Our beloved wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Jeanine Fritzsche passed away after a valiant fight on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 in St. George, Utah. Jeanine was born July 28, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She spent her childhood years in Murray, Utah, and attended Granite High School. On December 9, 1935 she married the love of her life Al Fritzsche for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 5 children, 30 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her most prized possession.
Mom had a great love for her grandchildren. Her eyes lit up when they entered the room. Her top priority was her family. She never grumbled or complained, and always had such a cheery disposition.
Mom had the biggest heart. She loved everyone and always sent little messages of love through the mail.
Mom had many callings in the LDS Church. She taught the Sunbeams, was a Relief Society President, and also served as the Stake Primary President. She served in the Young Womens program, and was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mom was true blue. She had a huge heart.
She had a great love for music. She had a special talent for playing the piano. She couldn't read a single note, but could play any masterpiece just by hearing it. She loved to play at the Greengate in St. George, Utah. She found great joy in playing for others. We will miss the music that filled our homes and lives.
Jeanine is survived by her loving husband Al; 5 children: Gary (Kathy) Fritzsche, Lani (Steve) Herd, Craig (Kristen) Fritzsche, Susan (Bill) Butler, and Steve Fritzsche; 30 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jess Jackson, Brent (Jacklyn) Jackson, Kent Jackson; and her sisters: Bonnie (Carvel) Shaffer and Joan (Ron) Kelly.
