Jeffrey Terry

Jeffrey Allen Terry (33) was called home by his Father in Heaven on December 31st, 2015 early morning while in his sleep at his home in Washington, UT. Beloved Son, Husband, Father, Brother & Friend, Jeff was born on July 24th, 1982 in San Bernardino, California to Allen and Beverly Terry. His family moved to St. George, UT in 1992. Jeff enjoyed playing soccer and began to show an interest in cooking at a young age. He showed hard work and dedication as he achieved his black belt in martial arts, and received his Eagle Scout Award. Jeff graduated from Pine View High School in 2000.

Jeff began a work career with Costco, where he met the love of his life, Erin Fretwell. They were married on September 10, 2005 and blessed with 3 wonderful children, Kaleb, Andrea, and Ella. In 2010, Jeff and his family moved to Las Vegas, NV to pursue his love of cooking. He graduated at the top of his class with high honors from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2011. After graduation, Jeff began his culinary career at the Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas. Upon moving back to St. George in Dec. 2012, he became Executive Sous Chef at Entrada Country Club. He later became the Executive Chef at the Green Valley Spa. Jeff was currently employed as the Executive Chef at Sterling Court, where he was highly respected and admired by the residents and staff.

Jeff was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who served faithfully in his callings and honored his priesthood. He had a great love of scouting which he learned from his father while growing up, and shared his passion by serving as the Scout Master in his ward. He was sealed to his wife and family for time and all eternity in the St. George Temple on March 13th, 2010.

Jeff will be most remembered for his outrageous sense of humor and his love of life. He truly loved the outdoors, and spending time with his family camping and fishing. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. In recent month, Jeff enjoyed being able to spend more time working alongside his dad, and having more time with his wife and children.

Jeff is survived by his wife Erin Terry, 3 children- Kaleb(9), Andrea(7), and Ella(1); his parents- Allen and Beverly Terry; 2 sisters- Rochelle Gifford (Alex), and Jessica Gubler (Zachary); 4 nieces and nephews, and Grandfather Richard Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6th at 11:00 AM at at the Coral Canyon LDS Chapel located at 1 950 N. Coral Canyon Blvd, Washington UT.

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 from 9:30 -10:45 AM at the Coral Canyon Chapel.

Interment to follow at the Washington City Cemetery.
