Jerry Emanuel Monroe, age 65, passed away peacefully at home, April 11, 2013. Jerry was born on September 12, 1947 in Traverse City, Michigan, to Joseph R. and Julia Louise Bergstrom Monroe. Jerry married his first love, Kathryn Ann Mauk in Corona, CA, on October 21, 1978.
Jerry grew up along the California Coast where he spent his college years surfing and skiing. He loved tennis, and he loved teaching his daughters the art of running. He took great pride in his work as a Purchasing Agent.
Jerry is Kathy's closest friend and confidant. He taught her to laugh between the tears. Jerry faced life’s challenges with strength and courage.
Jerry is survived by his wife Kathryn; daughters Traci (Scott) and Sandra (Shawn) all of Utah; grandchildren Nathan, Cooper, Travis, Emily, and Gabe; brothers Thomas (Diane) and James (Lois); and his many nieces and nephews.
Jerry will be cremated and a service will be held at a later date.
