Jimmy Roland Hockenbury, 68

Jimmy Roland Hockenbury passed away peacefully after many years of pain and suffering on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in St. George, Utah.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 8 ^th at 11:00 am. The service will be held at Snow Canyon 2 ^nd Ward, 1184 N Dixie Downs Road, St. George, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a memorial account which has been set-up to help with expenses at Chase Bank - Fayetta Hockenbury account #944715853.

Jimmy was born January 18, 1942 in Leitchfield, KY to Murl and Ella Hockenbury. Jimmy had an incredible way with people. No matter where he went he always seemed to find someone he knew. Once a friend to Jimmy always a friend.

Jimmy married his sweetheart Fayetta Hockenbury on May 16, 1959 and was later married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 6, 1967.

Jimmy was an electrician by trade. He was a hard worker often working two jobs to support his family so his wife could be home with their children. His family meant everything to him. His favorite past time was fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Fayetta Hockenbury; son, Ron Hockenbury; daughter, Carrie Sue Menzel; son, Todd Hockenbury; daughter, Dana Johnson. Grandchildren: Megan, Mallory, Addison, Tanner, Braxton, Jordan, Caitlin, Jake, Peyton, Gabriel, Morgan, Lilah, Kade, Kohlie, Kamwren, and Makena. Great Grandchild: Cruz

Preceded in death by his father, Murl Hockenbury; mother, Ella Hockenbury; brothers, Toby, Sammy, and David; sisters, Anna Lou and Barbara.
