Joan Barlow

Joan Dell Lovelady Barlow, age 63, passed away July 29, 2010 at the Kolob Care Center in St. George, UT.
She was born November 22, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to Tolbert and Reba Faye Thomas Lovelady. Joan married Edwin Ford Barlow in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1971.
Joan was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her life revolved around her children. She was a proud grandmother of 16 and all were the light of her life.
During her life she enjoyed bargain hunting, Saturday yard sales, antiquing with her sister Ima, crocheting booties, fishing with the family, gardening and especially the time spent yelling "Bingo" with her daughters. She loved spending time with family and friends and looked forward to the yearly family reunions. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, sister Deborah Lynn Carbonie and brother Jerry Don Lovelady.
She is survived by her eleven children; Carol Ritter (Randy), Larry Spiva, Edwin Barlow, Jason Barlow (Amanda), Dell Barlow (Candace), Denese B. Olsen, Leland Barlow (Lindsea), Mattie B. Clark (Evan), Susie Risher (Marshall), Jerry Don Barlow (Serenity), Reba Barlow (Jordan); two sisters, Imojene Ford and Barbara Faye Mercer and two brothers, Larry Don Lovelady and Billy Gene Lovelady.
The family would like to express appreciation and gratitude to all the doctors involved in her heart care and especially the medical staff in ICU at DRMC for their compassion and caring treatment of our mother and her family.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Washington Fields 1 st Ward located at 1835 S. Washington Fields Road, Washington, UT. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am.
