Joann Gubler

JoAnn Weech Gubler peacefully passed surrounded by her loving family on October 16, 2011 in St. George Utah after a valiant battle with cancer. She was 80. She was born on September 23, 1931 in Pima Arizona to William Melvin Weech and Luella Pearl Bingham Weech. She married Kenneth Gubler on September 3, 1949 in Las Vegas; they were later sealed for time and eternity in the Los Angeles Temple.

JoAnn was an active member of the LDS church and loved the Lord. She dedicated her life to serving her family and others. She loved temple work, bowling, camping, water skiing, playing games, cooking, quilting and being with family.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Kenneth; brother Boyd Weech; daughters Sandra Aleman and Lynnette Corbett; sons Kent Gubler and Ross Gubler; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Stake Center on 82 North Dixie Drive, St. George Utah. The viewings will be held Friday, October 21, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM and Saturday, October 22 from 9:30 - 10:45 AM. both at the church. Interment will be in the Santa Clara Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions are made to the Perpetual Education Fund.

The family wishes to thank the dedicated caregivers at the Southern Utah Home Care & Hospice and the Ted Warthen Center who treated her with admirable kindness.
