Joann Madsen

On July 22, 2018 we said goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, JoAnn Madsen.

JoAnn was born to Harold & Fannie Sorenson on Dec. 24, 1934, in Ferron UT. It was there that she grew up & graduated from Ferron H.S.1953.

After graduation JoAnn moved to SLC where she worked at Walker Bank.  It was in SLC that she met the love of her life, Morgan Carl Madsen.  JoAnn and Carl were married in Ferron UT, March 30, 1957 & later sealed for time & eternity in the Manti temple on June 27, 1970.  JoAnn & Carl enjoyed 61 1/2 beautiful years of marriage.  They had four children; Carrie Ann Peterson (Bart), Terry Lee, Todd Ray ( Mary) and Steven Carl (Nanci). They have 17 grand children and 25 great grand children.  JoAnn was dearly loved by her family and was always happiest when they were around.  She hosted countless holiday parities, Sunday dinners & was known for her amazing cooking.

JoAnn & Carl served two LDS missions, one at Martins Cove (1997- 2002) and the other at Cove Fort (2003-2005). After their mission they moved from their long time home of Casper WY to St George UT. They enjoyed countless game nights w/ friends & family, Sunday dinners, Family reunions & RV trips with their close friends Frank (2016) & Judy Estes.

JoAnn was proceeded in death by her parents Harold (1985) & Fannie (2004) and her brother Gene Sorenson (2005).

JoAnn was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00am at the Bloomington Mulberry Chapel at 3381 Mulberry Dr. St George UT.  A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45.

Interment will be at the Manti Cemetery in Manti, Utah.
