John H. “Jack” Pritchard was born in Blue Island, Illinois on August 7, 1936 and passed from this life on July 7, 2014 at the Southern Utah Veteran’s Home in Ivins, Utah.

Jack graduated from high school in Wickenburg, Arizona. He received Bachelor and Masters degrees from Arizona State University and later taught Math and Physics at Paradise Valley High School, also in Arizona where he served as chairman of the Math Department and junior basketball coach. Jack left teaching in the mid-sixties and spent the rest of his working life on various projects in the computer industry. Before retiring, he was president of an international computer company based in London that dealt with the text-processing of newspapers. Jack enjoyed golfing and bicycling with the guys. When he was able, he volunteered for veterans through the American Legion. Jack was a warm and loving man who seasoned life with a strong sense of humor. He was even-tempered and bore life’s trials with dignity and grace. When asked how he were feeling, he would always answer, “Just tremendous.”

Jack is survived by his loving wife Rosemary and dear children Susan Pritchard Ruisard, Michael Pritchard, Paul and wife Mary Jane Pritchard, Melissa Pritchard Saye and husband Ralph Saye, Sara Pritchard Ramsey and husband Adam Ramsey. Also seven precious grandchildren: Jayne Pritchard Berry and husband Isaac Berry, Ian Ruisard and wife Elizabeth, Hali Ruisard, Alec Pritchard, Madeline Pritchard, Mac Saye and Vivi Saye.

Graveside service will be held August 8, 2014 at 10:30 am, Tonaquint Cemetery 1777 S. Dixie Drive, St. George, UT. Luncheon to follow at LDS hall on Angel Arch Dr. in Sun River.
